LiilooDesigns’ official launch party

Feels like it’s been a lot longer than 2 weeks since we hosted the official launch of the LIILOODESIGS™ label. My dear friends showed up to support us and I had a long speech prepared. However, when it was time for me to give my speech, I only managed to say a few words. I think the launch nerves must have gotten to me. Anyway, I don’t want you to miss out on the speech, so thought I would post it here instead. Along with a few of my favorite pictures from the launch event.

Dear friends, thank you so much for coming today and making the official launch of my first LiilooDesigns collection a very special occasion.

Since I was a kid watching runway shows on TV, it has always been a dream of mine to become an independent fashion designer with my own label. Today, I feel like I’m taking an important step towards achieving this dream. I want to thank you all for sharing this moment; it really means a lot to me.

We’ve been working on Liillodesigns in our spare time for almost a year now and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved on a small budget controlled by Liiloodesigns’ tough financial department.

I started making the first sketches in December 2015 and in February we traveled to Saigon to source for fabrics and place orders for the first samples. In June we were back in Saigon to place the first production order and now almost 10 months later we finally have everything ready for launch.

The first collection actually consists of 3 mini-collections each with their own unique theme. Today we’re launching the Minimalistic & Chic collection on LiilooDesigns’ web shop but you will get a sneak preview today.
